Refresh Fort Lauderdale June Presentation

For Refresh Fort Lauderdale’s June presentation, Ryan Abbott of Loudpixel spoke about online conversation monitoring and analysis. I think I recorded pretty much all of it on the Kodak Zi8 and even some of the post presentation stuff. Sorry for the framing, the camera had to be pretty close to ensure that the audio levels were appropriate.

Refresh Fort Lauderdale April: Two-fer

That’s right, this month at Refresh Fort Lauderdale you get two great presentations instead of one. First up we have a Chris Fullman giving his talk from SXSW, “How to Be An Emergency Response Technician.”

For many small companies, the added need for an IT or “Swiss Army Knife” employee (aka “Emergency Response Technician” or “ERT”) often falls on one person who has their own work to perform. In this presentation, AgencyNet’s Senior Producer (and ERT) Chris Fullman will offer valuable tips and philosophies to improve the productivity, prioritization and sanity of that often-overwhelmed individual.

After Chris rocks Refresh, Rey Bango will be giving an in-depth look at JQuery (very technical) and showing off lots of code. This will be a follow up to his Refresh Miami talk, but just as awesome.

**UPDATE**
Unfortunately, Rey Bango will not be able to give his JQuery talk this month. We have something equally as exciting planned though. After Chris’ talk, Ulises Orozco, host of local South Florida podcast We Are Silicon Beach and JCompare founder, will be recording an interactive segment of this week’s podcast at Refresh. That’s right, Refresh Lauderdale will be guest hosting – that means you. We’re still scheming a bit, but one thing is for sure, it’ll be a great time.

Please email Brian at brian@refreshmiami.org if you’d like to sponsor the event. We could use someone to bring pizzas and sodas.

If you have any other questions, don’t bother Brian, he is a very busy and important person, but you can contact me via twitter (@morewillie) or email (willie@refreshsofla.org). I’ll be waiting around to hear from you.
